Chalet Tirelire was constructed in 1975 by 3 families and continues to be a family owned chalet.
With stunning views and easy access to the village the chalet is enjoyed by all who visit.
The village of Chatel has maintained it wonderful alpine charm, whilst also boasting to be the most extensively linked ski domain in the world.

Chatel is nessled in the heart of the Adondance Valley and is home to the famous‘Fromage d’Abondance'.
The valley has managed to hold on to its traditional charm and picturesque beauty.
Whether you are an adrenaline seeker or looking for the perfect family holiday you will not be disappointed, with over 90 kilometres of hiking trails and the famous Chatel bike park there is much on offer.
Or perhaps you would like to try rafting, kayaking, canyoning, para-gliding or the ‘Fantasticable'!
For the lovers of water sports, lake Geneva is within an easy 45 minute drive. This area has something for everyone, making Chatel the perfect holiday destination.
An area where every ski type can enjoy beautiful ski trips along refuges and pine trees.
There is also ‘Le Mure’ and ‘La Coup du Monde’ for the more adventurous types. Comprising of twelve resorts, you can ski trough different villages on either side of the border. Each has its own charm.
At the same time, PDS has an unique area for cross-country skiing. You will find four of its installations in Châtel.

The ‘Portes-du-Soleil’ area offers hundreds of hiking trails, many of which can be accessed by one of the 21 lifts.
The trails are designed for all abilities of walkers helping you discover this exquisite area and its 12 traditional villages.
The ‘Portes-du-Soleil is one of the largest biking areas in the world with 600 kilometres of cycling trails for all levels.
If biking isn’t your thing but you would like to give running a go, the area has 48 marked running trails for beginners to professional 'trail runners'.
Chalet Tirelire is a ten minute walk into the centre of Chatel village.
Our chalet is divided in three spacious,
fully equipped apartments. All having a south facing balcony and a stunning view over authentic Châtel.
Appartement Ouest max 8 à 9 persons.
Appartement Est max 8 à 9 persons.
Appartement Sud max 6 à 8 persons.
All apartments have a proper kitchen,
living room, bathroom and a separate toilet. Some rooms have their own sink.
By arrival every bed is made with freshly washed linen.
Chalet Tirelire is a ‘Multipass Hébergeur’.
This allows summer clients to the chalet to benefit from the multipass scheme.
For just 2 euros a day the multipass offers our guests unlimited access to all ski lifts and many other activities (swimming pools, tennis courts and much more throughout the ‘Portes-du-Soleil).

The closest ski lift is the Barbosine chairlift, located above the chalet.
All buses in Chatel are free and the ski-bus (line G - Le Roitet) goes every 30 - 40 minutes
from the bottom of the road. It is a 2 minute journey to the centre of the village. From the centre of the village, you will find the Super Châtel Telecabine, which
accesses the whole of the ‘Portes-du-Soleil’ area.
From the church square (centre of the village) you can take buses to Pré-la-Joux (fastest
connection to Avoriaz, Vonnes and Linga).
Free parking can be found at the bottom of the main lift stations.
If you want to get to the top of the mountain without too much climbing, then why not try
one of the chair lifts that are available to walkers.
From the centre of the village you will find the Super Chatel cablecar (altitude of 1650m), if that’s still not high enough, you canthen take the Morclan chair lift right to the summit, giving you the most stunning views over lake geneva.
6km from the village to the end of the valley you will find the Pierre Longue chair lift. Which
takes you to Plain dranse where you may want to eat in one of the many restuarants or
carry on by chairlifts to Avoriaz.

Due to the fabulous location of the chalet, you will be rewarded with stunning view from every direction.
All our apartments within the chalet have their own fires and firewood is provided.
On your arrival, your beds will be made up with freshly washed linen.
Fully equipped with dishwasher.
We also have several cheese fondue pans and a raclette machine.

Who doesn’t love a good game of cards or chess during their holiday? The chalet has a wide array of games for you to enjoy.
We will pay your chalet tourist taxes and help save you little bit of extra money!

The nearest airport is Geneva, a short 1,5 hour drive from the chalet.
Cars can be hired at the airport with rentalcars.com
On leaving the airport, follow the road signs to Lausanne- Vevey- Montreux-Monthey, and then direction Chatel.

The chalet has several parking spaces. On your arrival, Malu and Job will help you organise parking to make it is as easy for you as possible.
If you are planning on driving to the chalet, it is necessary to equip your car with snow tyres/snow chains.

By train you can travel to Geneva. In Geneva you will take the Altibus, which takes you to Châtel. You will need to book this online: www.altibus.com
As for rest, from Geneva on you can also take a train to Aigle (www.fahrplan.sbb.ch)
